स एव हि यदा तुष्टो वचसा प्रतिनन्दति । भवत्यगदसंकाशो विषये तस्य भारत

Transliteration

sa eva hi yadā tuṣṭo vacasā pratinandati | bhavaty agada-saṅkāśo viṣaye tasya bhārata ||

Translation

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ! ਉਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਯਥੋਚਿਤ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਨੰਦਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ—ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ—ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਲਈ ਵੈਦ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
