नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
चन्द्रमाने भेंड़ा दिया, सूर्यने मनोहर कान्ति प्रदान की, गोमाता सुरभि देवीने एक लाख गौएँ प्रदान कीं ।। छागमन्निर्गुणोपेतमिला पुष्पफलं बहु । सुधन्वा शकटं चैव रथं चामितकूबरम्
candramāne bheṇḍā diyā, sūryena manoharā kāntiḥ pradattā, gomātā surabhī devyā ekalakṣaṃ gāvaḥ pradattāḥ || chāgam annirguṇopetam ilā puṣpaphalaṃ bahu | sudhanvā śakaṭaṃ caiva rathaṃ cāmitakūbaram ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਢਾ ਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਸੂਰਜ ਨੇ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਕਾਂਤੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ, ਅਤੇ ਗੋਮਾਤਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਸੁਰਭੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਗਾਂਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਕਰੇ, ਉੱਤਮ ਅੰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਫੁੱਲ-ਫਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰਤਾ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੀ। ਸੁਧਨ੍ਵਾ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਕਟ (ਗੱਡਾ) ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਾਰ ਭਾਰ ਝੱਲਣ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਰਥ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
