Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तेजकी राशिभूत अग्निदेवका तुम सब लोग शीघ्र अन्वेषण करो। वे तुम्हारी मनोवांछित कामनाको पूर्ण करेंगे ।।
etad vākyam upaśrutya tato devā mahātmanaḥ | jagmuḥ saṃsiddha-saṅkalpāḥ paryeṣanto vibhāvasum ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ: ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਤੇਜ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ-ਸਰੂਪ ਅਗਨੀਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਖੋਜੋ; ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਨਚਾਹੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤਾ—ਸੰਕਲਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਨਾਲ—ਵਿਭਾਵਸੁ (ਅਗਨੀ) ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਲਈ ਉਥੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਪਏ।
