Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तस्माद् ये वै प्रयच्छन्ति सुवर्ण धर्मदर्शिन: । देवतास्ते प्रयच्छन्ति समस्ता इति नः श्रुतम्
tasmād ye vai prayacchanti suvarṇaṃ dharmadarśinaḥ | devatās te prayacchanti samastā iti naḥ śrutam ||
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਧਰਮ-ਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਇਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ—ਇਹ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਸਰਵ-ਦੇਵ ਅਰਪਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
