पिता मम महातेजा: शान्लनुर्निधनं गतः । तस्य दित्सुरहं श्राद्ध गंगाद्वारमुपागमम्‌

Transliteration

pitā mama mahātejāḥ śāntanur nidhanaṃ gataḥ | tasya ditsur ahaṃ śrāddhaṃ gaṅgādvāram upāgamam ||

Translation

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਾਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਨੂ ਦੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਾਧ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤ੍ਰ-ਤਰਪਣ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਨੀਅਤ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਗਾਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਗਿਆ।
