युधिछिर उवाच गोप्रदानगुणान्‌ सम्यक्‌ पुनर्मे ब्रूहि भारत । न हि तृप्याम्यहं वीर शृण्वानो$मृतमीदृशम्‌

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | gopradānaguṇān samyak punar me brūhi bhārata | na hi tṛpyāmy ahaṃ vīra śṛṇvāno 'mṛtam īdṛśam ||

Translation

ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ! ਗੋ-ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਸਮ्यਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ, ਸਾਫ਼-ਸਾਫ਼ ਦੱਸੋ। ਹੇ ਵੀਰ, ਐਸਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-ਸਮ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ; ਸੁਣਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
