Praise of cow-gift and ghee-centered recitation
गोप्रदानीति वक्तव्यमर्घ्यवस्त्रवसुप्रद: । ऊर्ध्वास्या भवितव्या च वैष्णवीति च चोदयेत्
bhīṣma uvāca | gopradānīti vaktavyam arghyavastravasupradaḥ | ūrdhvāsyā bhavitavyā ca vaiṣṇavīti ca codayet ||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਮੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਗੋਪ੍ਰਦਾਨੀ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਅਰਘ੍ਯ, ਵਸਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ’ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਭ-ਭਰੋਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ‘ਵੈਸ਼ਣਵੀ’—ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ-ਭਗਤ—ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
