सत्यवन्तः स्वर्गलोके मोदन्ते भरतर्षभ । दम: सत्यफलावाप्तिरुक्ता सर्वात्मना मया

Transliteration

satyavantaḥ svargaloke modante bharatarṣabha | damaḥ satyaphalāvāptir uktā sarvātmanā mayā ||

Translation

ਹੇ ਭਰਤ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ; ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਅ-ਸੰਯਮ—ਦਮ—ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੈਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
