न चोषरां न निर्दग्धां महीं दद्यात् कथंचन
Transliteration
na coṣarāṃ na nirdagdhāṃ mahīṃ dadyāt kathaṃcana
Translation
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਮਕੀਨ-ਉਸਰ ਤੇ ਬੰਜਰ ਧਰਤੀ, ਜਾਂ ਸੜ ਕੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਫਲ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।
