Gopradāna–Bhūmidāna Guidelines and Recipient Eligibility

अर्ध पापस्य हरति पुरुषस्येह कर्मण: । कृप: प्रवृत्तपानीय: सुप्रवृत्तश्न नित्यश:

ardhaṁ pāpasya harati puruṣasyeha karmaṇaḥ | kṛpaḥ pravṛttapānīyaḥ supravṛttaś ca nityaśaḥ ||

ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਦਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਕੂਆਂ ਖੁਦਵਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਉਹ ਕੂਆਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਕਰਮ ਦਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਭਾਗ ਹਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
