Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
यस्य वै शैशिरे काले तडागे सलिलं भवेत् । तस्याग्निष्टोमयज्ञस्यथ फलमाहुर्मनीषिण:
yasya vai śaiśire kāle taḍāge salilaṁ bhavet | tasyāgniṣṭomayajñasya tathā phalam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਤਲਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਸਿਰ ਰੁੱਤ (ਮਾਘ-ਫਾਲਗੁਣ) ਤੱਕ ਪਾਣੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੇ, ਬੁੱਧੀਮਾਨ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਨਿਸ਼ਟੋਮ ਯੱਗ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਫਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
