Putra-Bheda: Kṣetraja, Kṛtaka, Apasada, and Saṃskāra Determinations (पुत्रभेद-निर्णयः)
यदि वै स्त्री न रोचेत पुमांसं न प्रमोदयेत् । अप्रमोदात् पुन: पुंस: प्रजनो न प्रवर्धते
yadi vai strī na roceta pumāṁsaṁ na pramodayet | apramodāt punaḥ puṁsaḥ prajano na pravardhate ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਸਪਰ ਅਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਅਭਾਵ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ-ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਫਲਦੀ-ਫੂਲਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
