Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
वेदविक्रयिणश्रैव वेदानां चैव दूषका: । वेदानां लेखकाश्रैव ते वै निरयगामिन:,जो वेद बेचते हैं, वेदोंकी निन्दा करते हैं और विक्रयके लिये ही वेदोंके मन्त्र लिखते हैं, वे भी निश्चय ही नरकगामी होते हैं
bhīṣma uvāca | vedavikrayiṇaś caiva vedānāṃ caiva dūṣakāḥ | vedānāṃ lekhakāś caiva te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੋ ਵੇਦ ਵੇਚਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਜਾਂ ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੇਵਲ ਵਪਾਰ ਲਈ ਵੇਦ-ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਉਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਹੀ ਨਰਕਗਾਮੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
