अशुभै: पापकर्माणो ये नरा: कलुषीकृता: । ईशान न प्रपद्यन्ते तमोराजसवृत्तय:

Transliteration

aśubhaiḥ pāpakarmāṇo ye narāḥ kaluṣīkṛtāḥ | īśāna na prapadyante tamorajasavṛttayaḥ ||

Translation

ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਸ਼ੁਭ ਆਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੈਲੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ—ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵ੍ਰਿੱਤੀ ਤਮਸਿਕ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਜਸਿਕ ਹੈ—ਉਹ ਈਸ਼ਾਨ (ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ।
