रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
ਵਾਯੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਕਲਾ, ਕਾਸ਼ਠਾ, ਲਵ, ਮਾਤਰਾ, ਮੁਹੂਰਤ, ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਛਣ—ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਪ ਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਹਨ। ਉਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ-ਰੂਪੀ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ-ਖੇਤਰ ਹੈ; ਉਹੀ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੀਜ-ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ; ਉਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੁਖਮ ‘ਲਿੰਗ’ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਵ੍ਯਕਤ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ।
