यथा पाण्डो: सुता राज॑स्तथैव तव धर्मत: । तान् पालय स्थितो धर्मे गुरुशुश्रूषणे रतान्
yathā pāṇḍoḥ sutā rājas tathaiva tava dharmataḥ | tān pālaya sthito dharme guruśuśrūṣaṇe ratān |
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਂਡੂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੀ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੂਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਡੋਲ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਕਰ।
