सौम्या गौ: सुरभियद्देवी विश्रवाश्व महानृषि: । संकल्प: सागरो गजड्जा स्रवन्त्यो5थ मरुद्गण:
bhīṣma uvāca |
saumyā gauḥ surabhir yad devī viśravāś ca mahān ṛṣiḥ |
saṅkalpaḥ sāgaraḥ gaṅgādyāḥ sravantyo 'tha marudgaṇaḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮਾਵਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਕੋਮਲ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਸੁਰਭੀ ਗਾਂ, ਮਹਾਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਰਵਾ, ਸੰਕਲਪ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀ, ਸਾਗਰ, ਗੰਗਾ ਆਦਿ ਵਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੁਤ-ਗਣ ਵੀ ਗਿਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
