ब्राह्मणप्रमुखं सौम्यं न मे5त्रास्ति विचारणा
brāhmaṇa-pramukhaṃ saumyaṃ na me ’trāsti vicāraṇā | brāhmaṇeṣu śānta-bhāvasya prādhānyam | etad-viṣaye mama na vicāraṇā | brāhmaṇa-pūjanād āyuḥ kīrtiḥ yaśaḥ balaṃ ca prāpyate | sarve lokāḥ lokeśvarāś ca brāhmaṇa-pūjakāḥ santi ||
ਵਾਯੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— “ਹੇ ਸੌਮ੍ਯ! ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਗੇ ਹਨ—ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਯੁ, ਕੀਰਤੀ, ਯਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਸ਼ਵਰ ਤੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਾਸਕ ਹਨ।”
