Shloka 9
दृष्टवा नातिप्रभं सोम॑ तथा सूर्य च पार्थिव । प्रकाशमकरोददत्रिस्तपसा स्वेन संयुगे
dṛṣṭvā nātiprabhaṃ somaṃ tathā sūryaṃ ca pārthiva | prakāśam akarod atris tapasā svena saṃyuge ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— “ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਸੋਮ (ਚੰਦਰਮਾ) ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਕਾਂਤੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਨਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਮਹਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਅਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਪੋਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਫੈਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ; ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹਟਾ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।”
