अदैवं दैवतं कुर्युर्दवतं चाप्पदैवतम्‌ । लोकानन्यान्‌ सृजेयुस्ते लोकपालांश्ष कोपिता:

Transliteration

adaivaṃ daivataṃ kuryur daivataṃ cāpy adaivatam | lokān anyān sṛjeyus te lokapālāṃś ca kopitāḥ ||

Translation

ਤਪੋਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਜੋ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ; ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੇਵਤ੍ਵ ਤੋਂ ਚ੍ਯੁਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ-ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਪਾਲ ਵੀ ਰਚ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
