Mahabharata — Anushasana Parva, Shloka 24
लोकांश्व लभते पुण्यान् विश्वेश्वरकृतान् शुभान् । एते देवास्त्रयस्त्रिंशत् सर्वभूतगणेश्वरा:
lokāṁś ca labhate puṇyān viśveśvarakṛtān śubhān | ete devās trayastriṁśat sarvabhūtaganeśvarāḥ ||
ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵੇਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ੁਭ, ਪੁੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਤੇਤੀਹ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਸਭ ਭੂਤ-ਗਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਪਤੀ ਹਨ।
