वेदान्तगो ब्राह्मण: स्यात् क्षत्रियो विजयी भवेत् । वैश्यो धनसमृद्धः स्याच्छूद्र: सुखमवाप्रुयात्
vedāntago brāhmaṇaḥ syāt kṣatriyo vijayī bhavet | vaiśyo dhanasamṛddhaḥ syāc chūdraḥ sukham avāpnuyāt ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੁ-ਸਹਸ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ, ਪਾਠ ਅਤੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਵੇਦਾਂਤ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ; ਖ਼ਤਰੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤਦਾ ਹੈ; ਵੈਸ਼ ਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੂਦਰ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
