Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
सो<यं पुरुषशार्दूलो मेघवर्णश्षतुर्भुज: । संश्रित:पाण्डवान् प्रेम्णा भवन्तश्वैनमाश्रिता:
so ’yaṁ puruṣaśārdūlo meghavarṇaś caturbhujaḥ | saṁśritaḥ pāṇḍavān premṇā bhavantaś cainam āśritāḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇਹ ਮੀਂਹ-ਬੱਦਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਵਰਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਚਤੁਰਭੁਜ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਯੁਕਤ ਪਰਸਪਰ ਆਸਰੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
