Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)
अन्यथा बहुबुद्धयाढ्यो वाक््यं वदति संसदि । अन्यथैव हाहंवादी दुर्बलं वदते वच:
anyathā bahubuddhyāḍhyo vākyaṃ vadati saṃsadi | anyathaiva hāhaṃvādī durbalaṃ vadate vacaḥ ||
ਮਹੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਝ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ—ਵਿਵੇਕ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ—ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪਰ ‘ਮੈਂ-ਮੈਂ’ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਤੇ ਅਣਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ-ਬੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੰਨ, ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਤੋਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁਣ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਕਤਾਵਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ।
