न स्तम्भी न च मानी यो देवताद्विजपूजक: । लोकपूज्यो नमस्कर्ता प्रश्मितो मधुरं वच:

Transliteration

na stambhī na ca mānī yo devatādvijapūjakaḥ | lokapūjyo namaskartā praśmito madhuraṃ vacaḥ ||

Translation

ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ! ਜੋ ਨਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਦੁਰਾਚਾਰੀ ਦੱਪ ਵਾਲਾ; ਜੋ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਵਿਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਜਣਯੋਗ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਨਿਮਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ—ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਰਮ-ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮ-ਮਾਰਗ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
