कालयुक्तधर्मविवेकः
Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time
।। विपरीतस्तु धर्मात्मा रूपवानभिजायते
viparītastu dharmātmā rūpavān abhijāyate | devi! hiṁsāpremī manuṣyaḥ svapāpakarmakāraṇād anyeṣāṁ vadhyaḥ sarvaprāṇinām apriyaś cālpāyuś ca bhavati ||
ਮਹੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਰੂਪਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੇਵੀ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਮਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਕਰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਧਯ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਪ-ਆਯੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
