धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

संहिताध्यायिना भाव्य॑ गृहे वै गृहमेधिना । नित्यं स्वाध्यायिना भाव्यं न चाध्ययनजीविना

Transliteration

saṃhitādhyāyinā bhāvyaṃ gṛhe vai gṛhamedhinā | nityaṃ svādhyāyinā bhāvyaṃ na ca adhyayanajīvinā ||

Translation

ਮਹੇਸ਼ਵਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਥ ਸੰਹਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਿਤ ਸਵਾਧਿਆਈ ਹੋਵੇ। ਉਹ ਨਿੱਤ ਸਵਾਧਿਆਇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਤ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਿਕਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਵੇ।
