Rudra-Śiva: Names, Two Natures, and the Logic of Epithets (रुद्रनाम-बहुरूपत्व-प्रकरणम्)
ते सुरै: समतां यान्ति सुरकार्यार्थसिद्धये । द्योतयन्ति दिश: सर्वास्तपसा दग्धकिल्बिषा:
te suraiḥ samatāṃ yānti surakāryārthasiddhaye | dyotayanti diśaḥ sarvāstapasā dagdhakilbiṣāḥ ||
ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਦੀ ਸਿਧੀ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੀ ਧਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ)। ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਪਾਪ ਸਾੜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇਜ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
