Brahmapūjā-kāraṇa-prśnaḥ and Keśava–Viṣvaksena-stuti
Question on Brahmin veneration; hymn on Kṛṣṇa as cosmic order
दीनश्न याचते चायमल्पेनापि हि तुष्यति । इति दद्याद् दरिद्राय कारुण्यादिति सर्वथा
dīnaś ca yācate cāyam alpenāpi hi tuṣyati | iti dadyād daridrāya kāruṇyād iti sarvathā ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ‘ਇਹ ਬੇਚਾਰਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਰੀਬ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਮੰਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ; ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਣ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ’— ਇਹ ਸੋਚ ਕੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਹਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
