अफ-#-र- जा द्वाविशर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: व्यास-मैत्रेय-संवाद--तपकी प्रशंसा तथा गृहस्थके उत्तम कर्तव्यका निर्देश भीष्म उवाच एवमुक्त: स भगवान्‌ मैत्रेयं प्रत्यभाषत । दिष्ट्यैवं त्वं विजानासि दिष्ट्या ते बुद्धिरीदृशी

bhīṣma uvāca | evam uktaḥ sa bhagavān maitreyaṃ pratyabhāṣata | diṣṭyā evaṃ tvaṃ vijānāsi diṣṭyā te buddhir īdṛśī |

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਮੈਤ੍ਰੇਯ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵੇਦਵਿਆਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ—“ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ! ਤੂੰ ਵਾਕਈ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਐਸੀ ਵਿਵੇਕ-ਬੁੱਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।”
