गवां मेधस्य यज्ञस्य फल प्राप्नोत्यनुत्तमम् । जो बारह महीनेतक सदा अन्निहोत्र करता
Translation
ਜੋ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਨਿੱਤ ਅਗਨਿਹੋਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸੰਧਿਆ ਵੇਲਿਆਂ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਰਜ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ, ਮੁਨੀ-ਵ੍ਰਿੱਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ—ਉਹ ਗੋਮੇਧ ਯੱਗ ਦਾ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
