मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
वर्षासु वर्षतस्तावन्निवसत्यमरप्रभ: । वर्षा-ऋतुमें आकाशसे धरतीपर जितनी बूँदें गिरती हैं, उतने वर्षोतक वह देवोपम तेजस्वी पुरुष ब्रह्मलोकमें निवास करता है
varṣāsu varṣatastāvan nivasaty amaraprabhaḥ |
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਵਰਖਾ-ਰੁੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ—ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਬੂੰਦਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ—ਉਹ ਦੇਵ-ਸਮਾਨ ਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
