श्रीरवाच वसामि नित्यं सुभगे प्रगल्भे दक्षे नरे कर्मणि वर्तमाने | अक्रोधने देवपरे कृतज्ञे जितेन्द्रिये नित्यमुदीर्णसत्त्वे

Transliteration

śrīr uvāca: vasāmi nityaṃ subhage pragalbhe dakṣe nare karmaṇi vartamāne | akrodhane devapare kṛtajñe jitendriye nityam udīrṇasattve ||

Translation

ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ! ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ, ਨਿਡਰ, ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮਯੁਕਤ ਕਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਰਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਰਹਿਤ, ਦੇਵ-ਪਰਾਇਣ, ਕ੍ਰਿਤਜ੍ਞ, ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਸੱਤਵ-ਗੁਣ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਹੋਵੇ।
