Duḥṣantasya Vana-praveśaḥ
King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
पुष्पसंछन्नशाखाग्रं पललवैरुपशोभितम् । अशोकं स्तबकैश्छन्न॑ं रमणीयमपश्यत
puṣpasaṃchannaśākhāgraṃ pallavair upaśobhitam | aśokaṃ stabakaiś channaṃ ramaṇīyam apaśyata ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਭਟਕਦੇ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਵੇਖਿਆ; ਟਾਹਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੇ ਹੋਏ, ਨਵੇਂ ਪੱਤਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁੱਛਿਆਂ-ਗੁੱਛਿਆਂ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਣਾ ਆਵਰਿਤ।
