Jaratkāru’s Conditional Marriage Vow and Vāsuki’s Offer (जरत्कारु-विवाह-नियमः)
तस्माच्चरेथा: सततं क्षमाशीलो जितेन्द्रिय: । क्षमया प्राप्स्यसे लोकान् ब्रह्मण: समनन्तरान्,इसलिये तुम सदा इन्द्रियोंको वशमें रखते हुए क्षमाशील बनो। क्षमासे ही ब्रह्माजीके निकटवर्ती लोकोंमें जा सकोगे
tasmāc carethāḥ satataṃ kṣamāśīlo jitendriyaḥ | kṣamayā prāpsyase lokān brahmaṇaḥ samanantarān ||
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਿਮਾਸ਼ੀਲ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਵਰਤ। ਖ਼ਿਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜਲੇ, ਉੱਚੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ।
