एवमस्त्विति त॑ चापि प्रत्यूचु: सत्यवादिन: । तान् कश्यप उवाचेदं सान्त्वपूर्व प्रजापति:,सत्यवादी महर्षि वालखिल्योंने “हाँ ऐसी ही बात है” कहकर अपने कर्मकी सिद्धिका प्रतिपादन किया। तब प्रजापति कश्यपने उन्हें सान्त्वनापूर्वक समझाते हुए कहा --
evam astv iti te cāpi pratyūcuḥ satyavādinaḥ | tān kaśyapa uvācedaṃ sāntvapūrvaḥ prajāpatiḥ ||
ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਲਖਿਲ੍ਯ ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ “ਏਵਮਸਤੁ” ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਪਤੀ ਕਸ਼੍ਯਪ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਂਤਵਨਾ ਦੇਂਦਿਆਂ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
