रुरुधुश्चापरास्तत्र प्रजघ्नुश्न परस्परम् । मन्त्रयामासुरन्याश्व॒ रहस्यानि परस्परम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | rurudhuś cāparās tatra prajaghnuś ca parasparam | mantrayāmāsur anyāś ca rahasyāni parasparam ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਰੋਕਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ-ਖੇਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੌਲੇ ਹੌਲੇ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ; ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਇਕਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਪਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ।
