स हि सर्वस्य लोकस्य हितमात्मन एव च | चिकीर्षन् सुमहातेजा रेमे भरतसत्तम,भरतश्रेष्ठ! महातेजस्वी राजा युधिष्ठिर सब लोगोंका और अपना भी हित करनेकी चेष्टामें लगे रहकर सदा प्रसन्नतापूर्वक समय बिताते थे
sa hi sarvasya lokasya hitam ātmana eva ca | cikīrṣan sumahātejā reme bharatasattama ||
ਹੇ ਭਰਤ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਮਹਾਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਵੀ ਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਚੇਸ਼ਟਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਿਤਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਧਰਮਯੁਕਤ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਕੇਵਲ ਭੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ।
