खाण्डवदाहे देवविमुखता तथा मयदानवाभयदानम् | Khāṇḍava Burning: Devas Withdraw; Maya Granted Protection
त॑ तथा गर्जमानं तु मेघदुन्दुभिनि:स्वनम् । अन्वपद्यन्त ते सर्वे भोजवृष्ण्यन्धकास्तदा,मेघ और दुन्दुभिकी गम्भीर ध्वनिके समान बलरामजीकी वैसी गर्जना सुनकर उस समय भोज, वृष्णि और अन्धकवंशके समस्त वीरोंने उन््हींका अनुसरण किया
taṁ tathā garjamānaṁ tu meghadundubhiniḥsvanam | anvapadyanta te sarve bhojavṛṣṇyandhakās tadā ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੜਗੜਾਹਟ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੰਦੁਭੀ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਨਾਦ ਵਰਗੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਜਣਾ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੋਜ, ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਧਕ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੀਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਲਏ।
