श्रीराजोवाच कस्य हेतो: परित्यक्ता आचार्येणात्मन: सुरा: । एतदाचक्ष्व भगवञ्छिष्याणामक्रमं गुरौ ॥ १ ॥
śrī-rājovāca kasya hetoḥ parityaktā ācāryeṇātmanaḥ surāḥ etad ācakṣva bhagavañ chiṣyāṇām akramaṁ gurau
ਸ਼੍ਰੀਰਾਜਾ ਬੋਲੇ—ਹੇ ਭਗਵਨ ਮਹਰਿਸ਼ੀ, ਦੇਵਗੁਰੂ ਬ੍ਰਿਹਸਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕੀਤਾ? ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਵ੍ਰਿਤਾਂਤ ਦੱਸੋ।
