śrī-sūta uvāca iti sampraśnam ākarṇya rājarṣer bādarāyaṇiḥ pratinandya mahā-yogī jagāda muni-sattamāḥ
This verse highlights that a sincere, complete inquiry by the disciple is welcomed and approved by the realized teacher, who then instructs for the benefit of all listeners.
Because Parīkṣit’s inquiry was appropriate and spiritually aligned; Śukadeva’s approval signals that the question is worthy and that the forthcoming teaching is authoritative and beneficial.
Approach sacred study with humility and clear questions, seek guidance from authentic teachers, and listen attentively—this receptive hearing becomes a practical foundation for steady spiritual progress.
