The Lord’s Advent: Yoga-māyā’s Mission, Saṅkarṣaṇa’s Transfer, and the Demigods’ Prayers
gaccha devi vrajaṁ bhadre gopa-gobhir alaṅkṛtam rohiṇī vasudevasya bhāryāste nanda-gokule anyāś ca kaṁsa-saṁvignā vivareṣu vasanti hi
Nanda-gokula, the residence of King Nanda, was itself very beautiful, and when Yoga-māyā was ordered to go there and encourage the devotees with fearlessness, it became even more beautiful and safe. Because Yoga-māyā had the ability to create such an atmosphere, the Lord ordered her to go to Nanda-gokula.
Because Vraja (Nanda’s Gokula) is presented as a safer refuge from Kaṁsa’s persecution, where Rohiṇī and other wives are already sheltered.
Rohiṇī is Vasudeva’s wife who resides in Nanda’s Gokula; she is associated with the Yadu family and is sheltered in Vraja during Kaṁsa’s threat.
Seek the shelter of a spiritually safe environment (satsaṅga and dharmic community) when facing fear and pressure, and protect devotion through wise, timely action.
