एतत् कल्पविकल्पस्य प्रमाणं परिकीर्तितम् । यत्र मन्वन्तराण्याहुश्चतुर्दश पुराविद: ॥ ११ ॥

Transliteration

etat kalpa-vikalpasya pramāṇaṁ parikīrtitam yatra manvantarāṇy āhuś caturdaśa purāvidaḥ

Translation

ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਇੱਕ ਕਲਪ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਵਿਕਲਪ’ ਕਹੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁਰਾਣ-ਵੇਤਾ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਮਨਵੰਤਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
