Sukta 8
सं क्रोशतामेनान् द्यावापृथिवी समन्तरिक्षं सह देवताभिः । मा ज्ञातारं मा प्रतिष्ठां विदन्त मिथो विघ्नाना उप यन्तु मृत्युम्
sáṃ krośatām enā́n dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ sáṃ antárikṣaṃ sahá devátābhiḥ | mā́ jñātā́raṃ mā́ pratiṣṭhā́ṃ vidanta mithó vighnā́nā úpa yantu mṛtyúm ||
Let Heaven and Earth, let mid-air, with the Gods, make these cry aloud together. Let them find no guide, no firm foothold; thwarting one another, let them go on toward Death.
ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਦਿਆਵਾ-ਪ੍ਰਿਥਿਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਿਕਸ਼ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਚੀਖ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕਰਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਹ-ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਿਲੇ, ਨਾ ਪੱਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ; ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਦੇ-ਟੋਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ।
