स्वस्तिदा विशां पतिर्वृत्रहा विमृधो वशी। इन्द्रो बध्नातु ते मणिं जिगीवाँ अपराजितः सोमपा अभयङ्करो वृषा । स त्वा रक्षतु सर्वतो दिवा नक्तं च विश्वतः
svastidā́ viśā́m pátiḥ vṛtrahā́ vimṛ́dho vaśī́ | índro badhnātu te maṇíṃ jigīvā́n apárājitaḥ somapā́ abhayáṅkaro vṛ́ṣā | sá tvā rakṣatu sárvato divā́ náktaṃ ca viśvátaḥ ||
The Giver of welfare, the Lord of the folk, the Vṛtra-slayer, controller of assailants—let Indra bind upon thee the amulet: victorious, unconquered, Soma-drinking, bull-like, a maker of fearlessness. May he guard thee from every side, by day and by night, from all quarters.
