Sukta 5
कश्यपस्त्वामसृजत कश्यपस्त्वा समैरयत्। अबिभस्त्वेन्द्रो मानुषे बिभ्रत् संश्रेषिणेऽजयत्। मणिं सहस्रवीर्यं वर्म देवा अकृण्वत
kaśyápas tvā́m asṛjata kaśyápas tvā sám airayat | abíbhas tvéndro mā́nuṣe bíbhrat saṁśréṣiṇe ’jayat | maṇíṁ sahásra-vīryaṁ várma devā́ akṛṇvata ||
Kaśyapa created thee; Kaśyapa wholly set thee in motion. Indra bore thee among men, and, bearing, conquered the close-clinging foe. The gods made the amulet, of thousandfold might, a coat of mail.
ਕਸ਼੍ਯਪ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਰਚਿਆ; ਕਸ਼੍ਯਪ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਰਤਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਚਿਮੜੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ। ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਗੁਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਮਣੀ-ਤਾਬੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
