Sukta 3
त्रिर्यातुधानः प्रसितिं त एत्वृतं यो अग्ने अनृतेन हन्ति । तमर्चिषा स्फूर्जयन् जातवेदः समक्षमेनं गृणते नि युङ्ग्धि
trír yātudhā́naḥ prásitiṃ ta etv ṛtáṃ yó agne ánṛtena hánti | tám arcíṣā sphū́rjayan jātavedo samákṣam enaṃ gṛṇaté ní yuṅgdhi ||
Thrice let the Yātudhāna pass into thy noose, he who, O Agni, smiteth ṛta with untruth. Him, flashing with thy flame, O Jātavedas, bind down in open sight, for the singer who extolleth thee.
ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਯਾਤੁਧਾਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਪਵੇ—ਹੇ ਅਗਨੀ, ਜੋ ਅਨ੍ਰਿਤ (ਝੂਠ) ਨਾਲ ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਜਾਤਵੇਦਸ, ਆਪਣੀ ਲੌ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਝੰਝੋੜਦਿਆਂ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਤੁਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗਾਇਕ ਲਈ, ਸਭ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ।
