Sukta 8
यदसावमुतो देवा अदेवः संश्चिकीर्षति । मा तस्याग्निर्हव्यं वाक्षीद्धवं देवा अस्य मोप गुर्ममैव हवमेतन
yád asā́v amúto devā́ adeváḥ sáṃścikīrṣati | mā́ tásyāgnír havyaṃ vā́kṣīd hávaṃ devā́ asyá mópa gúḥ | mámā́iva hávam ítana ||
If yonder godless man from there devise some deed, O Gods—let not his Agni bear the oblation, nor his call. O Gods, go not unto him: to my call alone do ye resort.
ਜੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਅਦੇਵ (ਅਧਰਮੀ) ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਹੇ ਦੇਵੋ, ਕੋਈ ਕਰਤੂਤ ਰਚਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਹਵ੍ਯ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਹਵਾਨ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੋਵੇ। ਹੇ ਦੇਵੋ, ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਓ; ਕੇਵਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਵਨ-ਆਹਵਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਹੀ ਆਓ।
