Sukta 2

वावृधानः शवसा भूर्योजाः शत्रुर्दासाय भियसं दधाति । अव्यनच्च व्यनच्च सस्नि सं ते नवन्त प्रभृता मदेषु

vā́vṛdhānáḥ śávāsā bhū́ryójāḥ śátrur dā́sāya bhiyásaṃ dadhāti | avyànac ca vyànac ca sásni sáṃ te navanta prábhṛtā mádeṣu

Still waxing in force, of plenteous vigour, he layeth fear upon the foe as upon a Dāsa. He bowed down and bowed apart; with the restraining bond they wholly bend before thee, when raptures are brought forth in the draughts of exultation.

ਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵਧਦਾ, ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਰਯ ਵਾਲਾ, ਉਹ ਵੈਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ—ਦਾਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ—ਭੈ ਧਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਝੁਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਝੁਕਿਆ; ਸਸ੍ਨਿ (ਰੋਕ-ਬੰਧਨ) ਨਾਲ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉੱਲਾਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦ ਉੱਭਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਵਦੇ ਹਨ।
