Sukta 8
तस्मादमुं निर्भजामोऽमुमामुष्यायणममुष्याः पुत्रमसौ यः
tasmā́d amúṃ nírbhajāmo ’múm āmuṣyāyaṇám amúṣyāḥ putrám asáu yáḥ
Therefore we dis-portion that man—him, the son of so-and-so, the son of that woman—yonder, who is (our mark).
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਵੱਖ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ—ਉਸ ਨੂੰ, ਫਲਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਫਲਾਣੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ—ਉਸ ਪਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ (ਸਾਡਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ) ਹੈ।
